For organisations and experts who want to bring a programme to a community
When a community asks for your programme, people will organise around your promise. Read this page before you begin. If what you find here gives you pause, that's the page working.
Three things never change
Communities never pay, in any form.
Communities choose who comes in.
You see community totals, never individual people.
You don't knock on doors. A community finds you, and the request comes to you through people they already trust.
Members find your programme on Get support and say they need it. Each ask adds to a count for their cell.
A trusted local volunteer brings the request to you. They're your point of contact throughout.
If you can deliver, you agree dates and arrangements with the steward. If you can't, you say so plainly.
The programme happens as promised, at no cost to anyone in the community.
The community endorses your programme, or doesn't. Other communities see that before they ask.
You never contact members directly. Every conversation goes through the Cell Steward. That protects people who have very little protection anywhere else.
A community that's let down once is slow to trust again. So we ask every applicant, organisation or individual expert, to show us five things.
What pays for the programme, and the materials, transport and time to deliver it.
An organisation, sponsor or funder standing behind you, or a record of delivering this before.
What happens for the community if you can't continue partway through.
Credentials or a track record that fit what you're offering.
People who can speak to how you deliver, not just who you are.
You're welcome. Expect us to look closely at backing and continuity: who stands behind you, and who steps in if you can't.
Organisations and experts bringing free programmes in water, food, health, safety, energy, or skills and trade:
One account for your organisation. If you also want to help communities register cooperatives, you'll add that role later; each role is checked on its own.
You're a community organisation (a resident association, a CPF, a local anchor) wanting ResilientSA in your area. Start here instead.
You want to sell to communities, or reach members for marketing or research. ResilientSA doesn't allow that.
Applying takes about 30 minutes. You can save and come back.
Drafts are private. Nothing reaches a community until you're verified and your first programme has been read. Drafting doesn't mean approval, and everything you write is held to the commitments below.
Tick each one only if it's true for you today.
That's a good answer too. Secure your funding or a backing partner first, or talk to us about what's missing. This page will be here.
